Kline System Block Diagram
This project sought to discover how the sound system in the primary theatre of the Theatre Arts Dept. was wired. The department does not have any sound staff, so the knowledge of how it worked was mostly lost and confused by a few updates to the original system dating from 1990. I worked to trace the cables and determine which parts of the system were still connected and functional.

THA 212 Dorm Room Project
This project was for Gettysburg’s scenic design class. We were to draft and create a model of our dorm rooms. It is in 1/2″ scale.
Draftings are slightly distorted from scanning.

THA 212 Design Project
This project was for Gettysburg’s scenic design class. We were to create a design for Jen Silverman’s Witch. I focused on the industrial/pre-industrial differentiation between the castle and the cottage. It is only at the cottage that the characters are safe from the desires of modernity.
Witch features 3 primary settings for the scenes: the bar, the castle, and the cottage. While the bar is used in the beginning, the scenes alternate between the castle and the cottage for the rest of the play. The castle is a place of isolation and mangled relationships while the cottage offers the only real hope and connection. The primary piece of the set would be the castle, essentially as a box set, surround the entire stage. A long table would run the length of the stage. The downstage walls of the castle would slide upstage for the cottage scenes to allow the cottage to come out and a scrim to come down. The cottage would be a wagon that comes out to down stage left. The bar would also be a wagon, but it would be sparser. While the cottage has a defined space and closeness, the bar is simply the bar in front the scrim. Hints of the modern poke through the corners of these to their modern day counterparts in the tapestries of the castle, shelves of the bar, and books in the cottage.

O&N 110th Anniversary
Gettysburg’s theatre club, the Owl and Nightingale Players, had their 110th anniversary in 2024. There were a number of events in the theatre building to celebrate this including open mic performances. I served as the sound designer and head electrician for the events.
MUS 262 Audio Recording Project
This was a recording project to demonstrate the full process of recording and editing a song. The song is Bess of Bedlam by written by Henry Purcell and edited by Sergius Kagen. It is performed by Heather Stokes.
MUS 262 Video Project
This is a video project for a class, recorded and edited by me. There was free reign on the subject matter of the video, so I chose QLab. This is intended for the students running sound in the theatre department and the campus Tech Team. It seeks to give enough basics of QLab to cover most events.
