I acted as the sound designer and head electrician for this production. The majority of the sound cues associated with the production were underscoring, transition music, and environmental cues. Musically, we used a mix of Joy Division, New Order, Pixies, Nirvana, and a few other bands roughly in that genre as well as using a variety of string and piano covers of their songs.
The sound board operator withdrew from the production during tech week, so I networked the light board to be triggered by OSC from QLab and transitioned the former light board operator to run QLab instead. There were a few mics cues on the sound board which I set up to be automated from QLab as well using MIDI to remove any potential for mistakes from the board operator and simplify the process.
