Nicholas Ryan

Nicholas Ryan is a lighting and sound designer as well as general theatre artist who pushes the boundaries of technology in their work from integrating practical sound cues from phones controlled with OSC to crafting an immersive show based on audience contributions. They have background in a variety of related subjects including scenic design, playwriting, directing, education, and video production. All of Nicholas’ varied experiences with both the creative and technical aspects allow more expansive and effective shows.

They have designed at a variety of theatres including many community theatrs and spending the past two summers at Theatre Aspen as the Education and Cabaret Lighting Design Apprentice and at Totem Pole Playhouse as their A2 and Assistant Sound Designer respectively. Nicholas is currently the Sound Intern at Florida Studio Theatre.
